A glass of red and a needle and thread!

Thanks to all the Sisters who joined us last night for our launch event - the Make, Do, Mend Corsage workshop. We all had a great time, learnt some new techniques in fabric manipulation (sounds clever, huh?) and made some super cute corsages. We settled down in our cosy corner of the pub and spent a few hours up to our eyes in ribbon and buttons having a great old time!

In between chats, glasses of wine, dropped needles and lost threads we all managed to create some gorgeous brooches, hairclips and jewellery. Clare from Make, Do, Mend ran the workshop brilliantly and gave us some great instruction sheets so we can take them home and make some more on our own! I can't wait to have another go (which means everyone I know is totally getting a corsage brooch for Xmas!) http://makedomenders.blogspot.com/2009/11/fabric-flower-class.html

Oh, and who knew wine glasses were such good templates to draw round? Genius!

We're planning our next event for December... will keep you posted as soon as the details are sorted.
